Some years ago I was tasked to develop this series of icon illustrations for a Kentucky State Tourism compaign. During the process, this silhouette style treatment was formed and has since become an excellent fit for a number of other projects. The style seems to strike a really good balance of energy, simplicity and playfulness with just the right amount of seriousness.
